Leadership is all around us. We are born with family giving us orders. Then there is school, sports, work, government and church. After years of being under the leadership of others, we eventually come to the point of having someone following us – voluntarily or otherwise.
Generally our first leadership model is mothering kind of leadership. We sometimes experience that again in school, especially in the primary grades, and quite often in church.
Most people have at least one season of being under a predatory kind of leadership, whether at home, work, with the government or church.
Neither of these models is going to be effective in the Life After Church construct.
First because you are dealing almost exclusively with volunteers.
Second because the Mercy Season has different flavors of grace than the Ruler Season.
This seminar will explore a fathering style of leadership in the context of the Mercy Season. It will be a highly interactive event, with applications designed for the situations that you are actually working with now.
